Amid the deafening roar of engines, the flight deck director conducts an often dangerous symphony aboard the deck of the arcraft carrier. Known as the Yellow Shirt, he is the communications link connecting aircraft, pilot, ship and flight deck crew, keeping the planes moving and the catapults firing. This statuette is a true replica of the life-size statue that guards the entrance of the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
